International Student Council

The ISC is a body under the Studenten Organisatie Groningen (SOG) and a platform for international students to voice their opinion. We are in contact with university officials, the SOG representatives in the University Council as well as student associations. Working for the benefit of the Groninger international community, we represent them in the highest of councils and have our voices heard on topics like integration, enrolment and student integration. Our first project this year was to create awareness as well as opportunities for you internationals to learn Dutch during your stay here. De International Student Council (ISC) is een unieke commissie in het Groninger studenten leven waarin international studenten van verschillende faculteiten spreken over onderwijs gerelateerde problemen waar internationals die aan de RUG studeren tegenaan lopen. De populatie internationale studenten die aan de RUG studeren blijft voortdurend groeien en de SOG vindt het van groot belangr om ook internationale studenten een stem te geven in de verbetering van onderwijs gerelateerde zaken. De ISC heeft zich de afgelopen tijd o.a. bezig gehouden met het inventariseren van de mogelijkheden voor internationale studenten om Nederlands te leren en deze vervolgens te verbeteren en beter onder de aandacht van internationale studenten te brengen.
