“Imma let you in on a secret. My entire life, I was incredibly insecure about my abnormally short neck. You know Big Ed? The guy from 90 Day Fiancé? Yeah him. His life is a walk in the park compared to mine. Once I joined SOG, my neck magically started growing. It is decent sized now. I took on a new nickname. Luke Talneck. That is the name I go by now. SOG changed my life for the better. I can’t wait to introduce my successor to this magical realm.”

“Thankfully I was already in an incredibly loving relationship when I entered SOG. One of the benefits is that I don’t have to explain why I’m only 19 with an entire scalp of gray hairs. What I am trying to convey is that business is hard. Being a Chair is hard. Rewarding, but hard. Things get easier when you have a good team by your side, you know what I’m saying? After this year I will retire. Get a house on the countryside. Wife up the girlfriend. Life is short. You gotta make the most of it. SOG changed my life, but now I am ready to put my glory days behind me.”
— Ivar Hesse, Chair ‘23/’24
